Northern Lights Fascination
Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis: there are many names for this natural phenomenon. When they are particularly strong, the sky is littered with colours and the lights dance: a spectacle that will leave you amazed. And I promise you: You will never forget this spectacle!
Sighting Northern Lights
Look up at the stars! When the night is clear and cold, the chances of seeing auroras in the sky are particularly high. Ideally, there are no light sources (e.g. lanterns) in your immediate vicinity.
On the Track of Science
The interaction of energetic particles with the Earth's magnetic field is responsible for the coloured glow in the sky. Besides red and violet tones, green lights are often observed. You will see: the spectacle is pure fascination in every colour!
