Reconstruction work at Zurich Airport

From 30th October 2023 until spring 2024, Zurich Airport will be renovating its baggage facilities. During this time, there will be changes in check-in areas 1 and 3.

For Economy Class and Economy Max guests, the check-in counters will be located in Check-in 3 directly at the airport railway station. Children travelling alone as well as passengers travelling with animals in the hold please use the "Special Assistance Desk" in Check-in 1. Travellers with reduced mobility may use both Check-in 1 and Check-in 3.

For Business Class guests, HON, SEN, FTL and Star Alliance Gold members, the check-in area is located in Check-in 1.

Passengers travelling with bulky items (sports baggage, etc.) please use the check-in counters for their booked travel class.

Opening hours of the check-in & baggage drop-off counters

Please note that due to the current situation, the check-in and baggage drop-off counters have changed opening hours. In the event of flight cancellations at short notice or early departure times, the check-in opening hours published below may change. In any case, the counters always open at least 2 hours before departure. Please consider any waiting times.

If you have already checked in and have your boarding pass, please go directly to the baggage drop-off counter for your booked travel class.

Check-in the day before

You can check in your baggage at Zurich Airport as of 23 hours before departure at the baggage drop-off counter. If you are travelling to the USA, all corresponding passengers must be present at the counter with their valid travel documents.
