From atoll to atoll – Deluxe beach-hopping
Customised pampering programme
Miles of perfect white sandy beaches with coconut palms like Fulhadhoo Beach, considered the most beautiful beach in the world. A shimmering infinity pool at sunset amid tropical temperatures, lagoons and world-class reefs. The Maldives in the Indian Ocean is paradise. From Kaafu Atoll, Noonu Atoll and Lhaviyani Atoll to The Ritz-Carlton with its spa and Island Resort with its yoga pavilion: if you want to experience a truly special holiday, you can pick any atoll – the islands are only a stone’s throw away from the airport of the capital city Malé on the North Malé Atoll.
All inclusive: waves and wellness
How about a daily hot stone back massage at the hotel spa during your holiday? Or would you like to enjoy a full breakfast in your king-size bed? Or maybe a swim in your private 27-degree turquoise pool or the ocean? Whether it’s “Meeru Island Resort” in North Malé Atoll, “Reethi Beach Resort” in Baa Atoll or “Lily Beach” in Ari Atoll, these luxury resorts have it all. To round off a perfect day, treat yourself to a meal at one of the restaurants in your Maldives resort, where you can also sample the local cuisine.
Luminous hours in the atoll
The best time for Mudhdhoo beach at Baa Atoll is the deep black night. The island, which became the Maldives’ first and only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2011, is a world-class light show when it gets dark: the shallow water sparkles and glitters like a sapphire. The mystery behind this is the bioluminescence of the plankton. The small island is perfect for a natural candlelit dinner under palm trees on the white sand of the perfect beach.
Where diving dreams come true
In addition to the Ari Atoll, the North Malé Atoll is a must for water lovers. Here you can dive into the sea. You’ll see schools of blue and yellow surgeonfish, pairs of orange-striped clownfish and hawksbill turtles with their characteristic marbled shells, the 350-square-metre coral reef is home to some of the sea’s most colourful and vibrant creatures. Diving enthusiasts will also enjoy a trip to the South Malé Atoll not only for the white sandy beaches but also for the local reef sharks.
Bare-foot island from a picture book
Do you love long walks on the sandy beach? For your Maldives holiday, we recommend an excursion to the Long Beach Sandbank, located on one of the most beautiful Maldives islands called “Dhigurah” in Alif Dhaal Atoll, also known as South Ari Atoll. On one of the largest islands, you can feel miles of white sand under your feet and cool your ankles with ocean water from the right or lagoon water from the left.
Protect the environment
Whale sharks, coral reefs, mangrove forests... The islands of the Maldives impress with their magnificent biodiversity. To preserve this, the islands, the fantastic beaches and the sea must be kept clean. On your flight to Malé Airport, you will be given rubbish bags for your trip, which you can take back on board at the end of your holiday. Just ask the cabin crew for more information.
