Edelweiss brings new menus on board: Swiss indulgence above the clouds

  • New menus from May in Business Class and Economy Class
  • Typical Swiss specialties with St. Gallen bratwurst and Aare cheese
  • Menus offer variety, quality and seasonal freshness

From May 2025, guests in Business Class and Economy Class can expect a new culinary experience on board. With carefully selected Swiss specialties, Edelweiss is bringing fresh enjoyment and regional variety to the skies – from traditional classics to seasonal reinterpretations.

Business Class: regional delicacies with finesse

Passengers in Business Class can look forward to an exquisite menu of typical Swiss specialties. The focus is on the legendary St. Gallen bratwurst from the Schmid butcher's shop in St. Gallen, accompanied by beans wrapped in bacon, rösti and onion sauce – a dish with a sense of home.

Cheese lovers will also get their money's worth: the aromatic Aare cheese from Chäser in Worb is served as part of a cheese trio or in combination with pear bread. Appetizers such as creamy trout tartare with pumpernickel crumble and apple gel as well as vegetarian creations such as dumplings with ricotta and buffalo parmesan provide variety. The sweet finish is provided by classics such as chocolate mousse with whipped cream or a piña colada coconut cream with pineapple ragout.

Economy Class: Balanced variety with a Swiss touch

Edelweiss is also bringing new moments of indulgence on board in Economy Class. Tasty dishes such as chicken breast with herbs, risotto Milanese and spinach or gnocchi with tomato and basil sauce offer delicious variety.

Familiar classics such as Bircher muesli with berries or potato salad with cucumber salad are typical of authentic Swiss cuisine. Desserts such as mango mousse with strawberry coulis or a tutti-frutti crumble cake round off the menu on a sweet note.
