As a company, we strive to make our websites and mobile apps accessible in compliance with the provisions of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and all relevant accessibility standards. These include, for example, the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG) and the Regulation to the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSGV) adopted pursuant to the Act. Our goal is to make our digital services easy for everyone to use and understand.

Scope of application of this Statement

This Accessibility Statement applies to the services offered by Edelweiss Air AG on the website published at https://www.flyedelweiss.com. It was created on 27/05/2025 and will be reviewed and updated as needed.

Description of the service

On the flyedelweiss.com website, users can book flights and travel-related services and obtain information about flight offers and all aspects of travelling with Edelweiss. These include, for example, details of the itineraries, fare conditions, baggage regulations, travel requirements, customer support and inspiration for all holiday destinations.

Users can also book additional services via the B2S Link and offers from third-party providers, manage their booking via Manage My Booking (MMB) and check in online. Integrated links and interfaces to partners are provided for this purpose.

Conformity status

The specific technical measures are based on WCAG 2.1 Levels A, AA and AAA.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on an external assessment and was carried out in Q2 2025. The content was assessed by an external organisation that is not involved in the design and development of the product. The assessment was carried out in accordance with the legal requirements and global standards (EN 301 549, WCAG 2.1 Levels A, AA and AAA).

People with visual impairment were included in the accessibility assessment.

Compared to the conformity level illustrated by WCAG 2.1 Levels A, AA and AAA, the flyedelweiss.com website has the status: partially compliant. This means that significant parts of the website already meet the relevant requirements for digital accessibility, but there is still a need for improvement in individual areas in order to achieve complete conformity. We are actively working to remove these remaining accessibility barriers.

We provide services and information on our website. We reviewed our website in accordance with the conformity criteria described in the text below and have improved it in terms of accessible use.

The content listed below is not fully accessible:

Our website is largely compatible with the requirements. There is only a small amount of content that makes retrieving or accessing information difficult for passengers with disabilities. The content listed below is not fully accessible:

  • Images and graphic functions do not have consistently clear alternative texts and in some cases, alternative texts are absent. We are in the process of reviewing and optimising these.
  • Non-descriptive links such as “Learn more” and “Here” are unclear. We are replacing them with descriptive link texts.
  • In terms of operational elements, the accessible name does not always correspond to the visible name.
  • Not all PDF documents are accessible (e.g. the “Edelweiss experience” inflight magazine or the shopping magazine “Inflight Shopping”). We are optimising as many PDF documents as possible.
  • Not all integrated videos (in particular YouTube videos) have accessible elements such as clear alternative texts, subtitles or audio descriptions. We are striving to increase the accessibility and comprehensibility of this content.
  • Some forms are not yet fully accessible, as we are partly dependent on third-party providers. We are working to achieve better accessibility.
  • Third-party content: embedded third-party tools may not fully meet our standards (e.g. chat service is not accessible). We are striving to find accessible alternatives wherever possible.
  • The interactive GeoQuiz is not accessible. We are working to make it as accessible as possible.
  • The steps in the online Check-in process are currently unclear, as additional actions are required within each step. No adjustments are currently planned, as the design and backend modifications required are considered disproportionately high.
  • E-mail communication with our guests who booked via our website is not accessible. We are collaborating with a third-party provider to make our email templates accessible in the future.

We are constantly working to improve our website and digital services. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to make all content and services digitally accessible due to the large amount of material. We are endeavouring to rectify quickly any obstacles identified for passengers with disabilities.
