    Bernd Bauer, who is 48, currently Vice President Revenue Management, Pricing & Distribution at Swiss International Air Lines, is to succeed Karl Kistler as CEO of Edelweiss Air. The handover will be effected in the third quarter of this year. Karl Kistler, who is 61, wishes to put his responsibilities in new hands after 12 years at the Edelweiss helm.

    Auch für das jüngste Flottenmitglied von Edelweiss - der fünfte A320 (HB-IJW) - hat der berühmte Schweizer Künstler Rolf Knie wieder ein Bild gemalt. Es ist ein Adler und bereits das achte Tier, welches Rolf Knie für die Edelweiss Flugzeuge gemalt hat. Der Adler ist vorne am Flugzeug abgebildet und trägt den Namen Shayan, was auf Arabisch verdienstvoll heisst. Dieser Name wurde von der Edelweiss Facebook Community (aktuell 23‘700 Mitglieder) vorgeschlagen und ausgewählt.
