Your first sports equipment category normal (max. 23 kg) travels free of charge on all our flights. For every further piece of sports equipment category normal the additional luggage fee applies. Please register your sports equipment of category normal during your booking or online until 4 days before departure.

*The first sport bag category normal is offered free of charge all flights. For every additional sport bag the additional baggage conditions apply. Only valid on flights operated by Edelweiss. Does not apply for codeshare flights or flight itineraries combined with other airlines and tickets without a check-in baggage allowance (Light Fares) .

**The sport bag conditions are to be paid for the first sport bag category big on long-haul flights or short-and middle-haul flights. For every additional sport bag the additional baggage conditions apply.

Important note: The sports baggage may only contain the effective equipment (no additional clothing, shoes, etc.).

*E-Bikes cannot be accepted due to security reasons, unless the battery is not being transported.

**No sporting / hunting firearms and ammunition are allowed to be transported on flights to Scotland. On flights to all other holiday destinations, the transport of weapons has to be preregistered. Those guests who have made their booking via flyedelweiss.com, are kindly requested to contact our Service Center +41 (0)848 333 593 or services@flyedelweiss.com until latest 4 days prior to departure, to book their weapons. All other guests are requested to contact their booking agent.

Your sports equipment is neither part of category normal nor big?

Every sports equipment which is neither part of category normal nor big, has to be packed within your free baggage allowance. If the free baggage allowance is not sufficient, you can register your excess baggage until 4 days before departure.

 

Packing tip for bicycles

Your bicycle will travel in a hard-shell container or cardboard box (available for CHF 25 at Check-in in Switzerland); dimensions: 162 x 92 x 24 cm. The tyres have to be deflated, the front wheel and pedals removed and the handle bar set diagonally.

Any items of baggage weighing more than 32 kg will not be processed at the desk, but need to be checked in separately as bulky cargo. Please contact Swiss WorldCargo for further information.
