Edelweiss flies to Boa Vista for the first time
First flight on Monday, 31 October 2022. One weekly non-stop connection from Zurich. Boa Vista is the second holiday destination on the Cape Verde Islands after Sal.
Edelweiss celebrated another first flight on Monday, 31 October, this time to Boa Vista in Cape Verde. Boa Vista is already the second destination in Cape Verde after Sal. Traditionally, a ceremonial ribbon cut took place at the gate shortly before take-off. Rolf Hancock, Vice President Aviation Development at Zurich Airport, and Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss, were also present. "I am delighted that with Boa Vista we are flying to another fantastic island in Cape Verde. Our guests will be just as enthusiastic about this pearl of Cape Verde, as the island is also known, as I am," says Heymann. Until spring, Edelweiss will be flying non-stop from Zurich to Boa Vista every Monday.
The third largest Cape Verde island more than lives up to its name Boa Vista - beautiful view. With pleasantly warm temperatures all year round and 350 days of sunshine, life on this enchanting island is cosy and unspoilt. Boa Vista enchants those seeking relaxation with its many dreamy white sandy beaches and the shimmering turquoise sea. Sun, wind and waves not only create excellent conditions for bathers, but also for water sports enthusiasts.
With Boa Vista, Edelweiss is expanding its short- and medium-haul network to 63 destinations. The flights can be booked on flyedelweiss.com and through all the usual sales channels.
