First flight to Pisa in Italy took place on Friday, 3 June 2022. First flight to Bergen in Norway took place on Saturday, 4 June 2022. With Tromsø, another destination in Norway is being reintroduced into the summer flight schedule.

Edelweiss has just celebrated two first flights. On Friday, 3 June 2022, an Airbus A320 took off for the first time to Pisa in Italy. As is tradition, the ceremonial ribbon cut took place at the gate shortly before take-off. Rolf Hancock, Vice President Aviation Development at Zurich Airport, and David Birrer, Chief Operating Officer of Edelweiss, were also present. "It was an honour for me to be present at this festive occasion. I am very pleased that we are flying to Pisa, another holiday destination in Italy," said Birrer. Edelweiss will be flying to Pisa twice a week from Zurich until September.

Two more destinations in Norway

With Bergen in the southwest of Norway, another first flight took place on Saturday, 4 June 2022. Also on Saturday, Edelweiss reintroduced the route to Tromsø into its summer flight schedule. Both destinations will be served twice a week from Zurich until September. The Edelweiss summer flight schedule currently consists of 59 destinations on short- and medium-haul routes and 19 on long-haul routes.
