Edelweiss Is Introducing Flights to Puerto Plata and Figari (Corsica)
Edelweiss, Switzerland’s leading leisure travel airline, is adding two new holiday destinations to its network, thus expanding the airline’s flight services to the Dominican Republic and the Mediterranean region.
Located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata is a holiday hotspot that attracts young people, families, sun worshippers, water sports fans and nature enthusiasts alike. A magnet for beach-holiday aficionados, the sandy shores of Sosúa and Cabarete are also hugely popular among scuba divers, kiters and surfers. Puerto Plata is also an ideal gateway for excursions to impressive natural attractions in the area, including the twenty-seven Damajagua waterfalls located in the heart of a thick forest and home to a wealth of flora and fauna.
Starting on 3rd November 2020, Edelweiss will operate direct flights from Zurich to Puerto Plata, departing on Tuesdays.

A holiday on the island of Corsica is ideal for families, fans of beautiful nature and for sports enthusiasts. Whether relaxing on one of Corsica’s lovely beaches or hiking and cycling in the mountains, this Mediterranean island promises a blissful getaway for all tastes and preferences. Furthermore, the towns of Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio near Figari are lovely places to explore and spend time in. The island capital of Ajaccio – which is also Napoleon’s birthplace – is about two hours’ drive from Figari.
Starting on 30th May 2020, Edelweiss will operate direct seasonal flights from Zurich to Figari (Corsica), departing on Saturdays.
