Two New Holiday Destinations for Summer 2019

Edelweiss is expanding its route network with two new travel destinations. In summer 2019, Switzerland’s leading leisure travel airline will introduce flights to Tirana (Albania) and Kalamata (Greece). In addition, Edelweiss will operate year-round flights to the Seychelles and Mauritius.

Albania’s capital Tirana is known for its multifaceted and colourful architecture. Besides impressive buildings and a historic city centre, Tirana features many highlights, including the Palace of Culture and the National Museum of Archaeology. Tirana is also an excellent starting point for touring the country and thus getting to know Albania’s amazing nature and stunning landscapes.

The addition of Kalamata to the Edelweiss route network will increase the airline’s holiday destinations in Greece to ten. Widely known for its splendid beaches, the Peloponnese peninsula is also an ideal destination for sailing, hiking, climbing and golf. Many ancient sites, such as Olympia and Sparta, are easily reached from Kalamata. Beginning on 7th June 2019, Edelweiss will operate a weekly flight from Zurich to Kalamata, on Fridays.

The addition of Tirana and Kalamata ups the total of Edelweiss destinations to seventy. All of the flights are available for booking with immediate effect, at flyedelweiss.com or via any of the usual sales channels.

 

Edelweiss to offer year-round flights to the Seychelles and Mauritius

Starting in summer 2019, Edelweiss will also expand its existing services to Mauritius and the Seychelles, offering year-round flights to these dream destinations. Flights from Zurich straight to Mahé (Seychelles) depart on Saturdays, and from Zurich straight to Mauritius on Tuesdays and Fridays.
