Which (foreign) languages are required?

German:
The company language at Edelweiss is German. Therefore, fluent oral and written German skills are a basic requirement for employment at Edelweiss.
If you use German as your mother tongue or everyday language, a C1 certificate is not required.

Ab Initio candidates:
Since there is no time to improve general German language skills during pilot training (language of instruction is German), candidates must provide evidence of a defined level of training at the time of application.

English:
Very good verbal and written English skills at level B2 are required and must be able to be shown at the beginning of the training.

If you do not have any language diplomas, these must be made up for and obtained during the selection process or before the start of training. You will be asked at the appropriate time to produce an English language diploma (First Certificate Grade A or B, or an AKAD language test diploma is acceptable). This diploma can be made up for after successful LAT selection and must be presented before the start of training. The candidate bears the costs for the English language diploma.
