Edelweiss Flies Aircraft Back from Dübendorf

Edelweiss will fly back two Airbuses A320 from the Dübendorf Air Base to Zurich Airport today (Tuesday, 9th June). The other three aircraft will follow in a week’s time.

Having parked five Airbus A320s on the Dübendorf Air Base for almost three months, Edelweiss will start flying back its aircraft to Zurich Airport today, doing so in a staggered manner. The first A320 (HB-IJW) took off from Dübendorf this morning at 10:45 am. The second aircraft (HB-IJU) will follow this afternoon at 3 pm and the remaining three A320s next week, on 15th and 17th June. The reason why the latter aircraft will not be flown back on the same day is the parking sequence. The return of the aircraft to Zurich Airport is an important step in preparing for Edelweiss’ summer timetable which is expected to encompass flights to sixty holiday destinations on short- and long-haul routes, starting from July.
