Report, wait, rejoice?
Lost & Found is your first point of contact if you have lost an item of baggage. Please go straight to this counter when you arrive at the airport. If your baggage is delayed, you must report it in written form via our contact form to Edelweiss Air AG within 21 days after receiving your baggage – that is what is required by the Montreal Convention.
We don't hang about: we can usually forward a missing item of baggage to you within 24 hours.
Abroad without your baggage
You have arrived at your destination, but unfortunately your bags haven't … In line with international guidelines, we will reimburse part of the costs for urgently required replacements. Send us the original receipts for toiletries, underwear and any necessary changes of clothing or rented items (for sports equipment), together with a report on the baggage loss, either by our contact form or by mail: Edelweiss Air AG, Customer Service/Baggage Irregularities, The Circle 32, CH-8058 Zürich-Flughafen.
Still missing after three days
If your baggage has still not turned up after three days, this means it could not be traced from the description given. Please use the WorldTracer form at the link below to describe the baggage contents in detail. The more detailed the description, the more likely we are to find it.
Contact at the arrival airport
For five days after the loss, the arrival airport is your contact. Because forwarding lost baggage is a complicated matter, we are unable to provide a specific delivery date. However, as soon as the baggage arrives at the destination, the local representatives will contact you to notify you. At some destinations, it is necessary for customs reasons that the owner of the baggage collect it in person.
Baggage Tracer: for your own online research into missing baggage
It goes without saying that we will do everything we can to help you find your missing items again. However, please note that we cannot be held responsible for any losses nor for forwarding your property.
