Edelweiss flies to Halifax for the first time

  • Maiden flight took place on Thursday, 3 July
  • Ceremonial ribbon cutting at the gate at Zurich Airport
  • Two flights per week until the beginning of October

Today, Thursday, Edelweiss took off from Zurich for the first time to the Canadian port city of Halifax. The new direct connection was celebrated with a festive ceremony at Zurich Airport. During the traditional ribbon cutting, Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss, and Rolf Hancock, Vice President Aviation Development at Zurich Airport, joined the crew in cutting the ribbon to officially open the new route.

Flights to Halifax will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. The season ends in mid-October.

Halifax is Edelweiss' third destination in Canada after Vancouver and Calgary.
