Edelweiss flies to Terceira in the Azores for the first time
- Maiden flight took place on Wednesday, 25 June 2025
- Weekly flights until 10 September

Edelweiss celebrated its maiden flight to Terceira in the Azores today with a festive ceremony. The traditional ribbon cutting took place at Zurich Airport, where Céline Vautravers, Manager Network Planning & Development at Edelweiss, and Rolf Hancock, Vice President Aviation Development at Zurich Airport, cut the ribbon together with the crew.
With the addition of Terceira, Edelweiss is expanding its range of destinations in the Azores and offering holidaymakers a new, fascinating destination in the Atlantic. The island captivates visitors with its volcanic landscape, green hills, historic towns and impressive coastline. Terceira is a paradise for nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts and anyone looking for relaxation away from mass tourism.
Flights to Terceira will operate non-stop from Zurich every Wednesday until 10 September.
