Edelweiss to cease flights to Sharm el Sheikh until further notice

Edelweiss has decided to cease all its flights to Sharm el Sheikh provisionally until the end of the current winter timetable period at the end of March 2017. The decision follows a reappraisal of the security situation and the latest assessments of the Sinai Peninsula by the relevant authorities.

Edelweiss customers who have already booked a flight to Sharm el Sheikh may either rebook it or have it refunded in full, provided the ticket was issued on or before 21 October 2016. The respective customers are asked to contact their booking agent.

Edelweiss flights to and from Hurghada continue to operate as scheduled.

Edelweiss is closely monitoring all developments, and is in regular contact with the national and international authorities, and with SWISS and the Lufthansa Group.
