More short- and medium-haul flights

Edelweiss, the leading Swiss leisure travel airline, is adding various short- and medium-haul frequencies to its 2016/17 winter schedule, and with its new Wireless Entertainment System is offering an even more entertaining start to holidays.

Edelweiss, the leading Swiss leisure travel airline, is adding various short- and medium-haul frequencies to its 2016/17 winter schedule, and with its new Wireless Entertainment System is offering an even more entertaining start to holidays.

Edelweiss is offering more short- and medium-haul flights on its 2016/17 winter schedule. In addition to various frequency increases and the new winter destination of Seville, the airline will also be flying to Edinburgh for the first time in winter.

 

Marrakesh:Increase from two to three weekly frequencies between 2 November – 30 November 2016 and 1 March – 22 March 2017.
Hurghada:Increase from two to three weekly frequencies between 1 November 2016 – 21 March 2017.
Tenerife:Increase from four to five weekly frequencies between 4 November 2016 – 24 March 2017.
Seville:New winter destination, served by two weekly flights as in the summer.
Funchal (Madeira):Increase from two to three weekly frequencies between 2 March – 23 March 2017.
Faro:Extended season with one weekly frequency until 19 November 2016 and an earlier start to the season with two weekly frequencies from 14 March 2017.
Edinburgh:New winter destination with one weekly frequency from 18 December 2016.
Catania:Two weekly frequencies year round, increasing to four weekly frequencies between 25 December 2016 – 1 January 2017.
Pristina:Increase from ten to eleven weekly frequencies from 1 December 2016.
Skopje:Increase from four to six weekly frequencies throughout the winter season. Further increase from six to seven weekly frequencies between 3 December 2016 – 7 January 2017.
Tromsö:New: one weekly frequency in full-charter between 28 January – 11 March 2017.

New Wireless Entertainment System on the A320 fleet

As already announced a few months ago, Edelweiss is currently converting its entire A320 fleet. In addition to a new interior design and seats of the latest generation, every A320 aircraft now also has a Wireless Entertainment System. This will give passengers access to a tremendous range of entertainment options on their own laptop, tablet or smartphone via WLAN on the aircraft. The offer ranges from films, documentaries, TV series and music channels to a digital reading offer.

The new Wireless Entertainment System will be available on all Edelweiss Airbus A320 aircraft by the end of June 2016.
