For passengers without their own device

  • If you need oxygen during the flight, please note the following points:
  • Please inform your booking agent or Edelweiss (meda@flyedelweiss.com) that you require oxygen on board.
  • Please enter your medical details in the SAF/MEDIF form with your doctor.
  • Have your doctor complete the questions concerning oxygen.
  • Please submit the two forms at least three days before departure to the medical services of Swiss International Air Lines. The easiest way to do it is by email to medicalservices@swiss.com or by fax to +41 (0) 58 584 6845.

  • Please inform your booking agent or Edelweiss (meda@flyedelweiss.com) that you require oxygen on board and that you wish to bring your own device.
  • Please enter your medical details in the SAF/MEDIF form with your doctor.
  • Read and complete the POC-Form.

Important information:

All forms must be submitted to the medical services of Swiss International Air Lines either by email to medicalservices@swiss.com or by fax to ;;;+41 (0) 58 584 6845 at least three working days before departure.

If you wish to use a CPAP machine on a Edelweiss flight please read the advice and instructions below carefully.

     
Clearance
 
The use of a CPAP machine requires a technical clearance from Edelweiss. Please provide the following details to Edelweiss Service Center or directly to us by email (meda@flyedelweiss.com )
 
Name, flight, date or PNR number, Brand and exact type of the CPAP device,Use of batteries or electrical outlet
Security check at Airport
 
To facilitate the security check at the airport we recommend bringing along a medical certificate in English that confirms the necessity to use the CPAP machine on board.
 
Safety
 
For safety reasons, a CPAP machine needs to be switched off and stowed for taxi, take off, landing, and during abnormal or emergency situations.

To prevent a possible electrical short circuit each extra battery has to be wrapped separately.
