Restaurants in a Unique Setting
Cave Damianos Restaurant
Perched on the hill above the Damianos Caves outside the village of Agalas this restaurant serves simplistic local cuisine beautifully presented in a picturesque setting. The view stretches down the hillside and disappears into the calm blue waters of the Ionian sea. The specifically designed Sunset Deck invites you to enjoy a cocktail while watching the skies change from blues to pinks and reds and the sun dip behind the horizon marking the end of another day.
Taverna Lithies
Located in the village of Vassikikos, Taverna Lithies is basiclly a few tables with checked table cloths in the middle of the Lithies farm. In the homely athmosphere the authentic local dishes are made with ingredients from the farm and garden. Here you will find yourself surrounded by olive groves as you sip the house wines from the farm’s own production. Don’t forget to try the homemade cheese (Ladotiri) and traditional Zakynthian liqueur Tsipouro.
Keri Lighthouse
The Keri Lighthouse restaurant comes complete with skywalk jutting out over the cliffs and mesmerizing blue water below. The various shades of blue shine brightest at lunchtime. The restaurant is quite touristy but the views and pretty gardens worth the visit.
Utopia Restaurant
The Utopia Restaurant is located in the village of Argassi and offers an elegant, romantic atmosphere with spectacular views of the sun set. The owners have recently incorporated a greenhouse at the centre of the restaurant where they grow some of their ingredients. Guests are invited to choose between a fine dining menu inspired by tastes of the Mediterranean or the more relaxed mezze menu.
Nobelos Bio Restaurant
This restaurant belongs to the family run Nobelos Sea Side Lodge. It is the only fully organic restaurant on Zakynthos and has been built completely in stone replicating traditional Zakynthian architecture. The restaurant spills out onto the sands of the immaculate private beach. The setting is truly picturesque and worth a stop whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks.
